How I Work
The essence of my work is that we sit down and talk. I am a non-judgemental empathic listener, and my aim is to provide a safe space for my clients to process, rebalance and move forward, uniquely equipped to handle the future. Not one therapy model fits all, therefore a client-tailored combination of various therapy techniques can help you become more aware; aware of who you truly are, how you function in the world and what you want from life and how to get there.
I believe that the restorative and developmental work in counselling and coaching should be a collaborative and safe space between therapist and client. I am also continually encouraged by the change my clients have seen in their lives through therapy, predominantly through healthier relationships with themselves and others. I’ve learned to trust the therapeutic process and if you are as committed as I am then I am confident your life can change for the better.
About Clare
After studying for a degree in Psychology in my hometown, I moved to London and into work within the brand and technology industries for over ten years. I eventually decided to integrate my experience and interests in mental health, and retrain as an Integrative Psychotherapist, Counsellor & Coach. Since completing my Postgraduate Diploma, I have gained extensive experience working with an addiction programme in Camden and work with clients privately on a wide range of issues.
Like the majority of therapists, I am in regular professional supervision and adhere to both the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and BPS (British Psychological Society) code of ethics. Both require ongoing professional development and support the importance I give to safety, confidentiality, respect and equality.
